What are you grateful for this year? Are you grateful for who you are? Grateful for those around you? Have you taken a moment to count your blessings this time of thanks? If you haven’t, and you feel like things to be grateful for don’t come to mind right now,
I want you to try an exercise with me, right now. Stop what you are doing, go to a quiet place. Start thinking first, what are some of the things that I am capable of doing? What are some of the things that I am able to do, physically, that others cannot?
What are some of the gifts that God has given me? What are the things that people praise me for? You see my friends, there are in fact many things that we can put our focus on. In fact there is often a long list of things in which we can give thanks for, right in front of us. Sometimes, life has a way of clouding these blessings. This year, as your Bishop,
I ask you to do something different in preparation for the next year. Reflect on the things that we have in our favor and duplicate that into other great things. Use the tools that God has given you to see things in a different light.
